The Milking Parlour is going to Bridport Arts Centre from 22 April – 3 June 2017.
For the last three years The Arts Development Company and Cape Farewell have been running residencies for artists to work with farmers to examine our relationship with food, farming and the wider environment. Food is fundamental to life. The way we produce it is the most pressing issue of our times. This exhibition will feature three projects that have had a significant impact for the collaborators involved and audience members.
EXCHANGE, by artist Chris Drury & poet-novelist Kay Syrad and contributing West Dorset farmers. Bristol based Project ‘The Milking Parlour’ by artist Nessie Reid and Lincolnshire Project ‘A Field of Wheat’ by artists Anne-Marie Culhane & Ruth Levene and Farmer Peter Lundgren.
